LE PROJET; THE PROJECT

_ENGLISH BELOW___________ « We are all foreigners » is an educational and artistic project whose aim is to make our European pupils think about what being a foreigner means. To encourage exchanges our pupils will share their comments , thoughts and research. The cinema and other forms of art will be our tools to explore this common theme but also to produce films, short stories, paintings, music and so on. These forms of art will be the results of our exchanges and collaborations. Almost all the countries which are likely to participate in a Comenius project are members of the European Union. Yet, in any country other than “ our country”, although we are European we remain foreigners. How are we regarded in other countries? What’s a “ foreigner”? What are the stereotypes , the prejudices at stake ? In our own countries who are those we call “ them”? What does it mean to be a foreigner in a country, a culture, a language? What numerous realities does it imply ?What obstacles? What promises ? Beyond our national, political ,linguistic, ethnic or religious barriers, we have to ask ourselves what being a foreigner in Europe means nowadays. Moreover, this project will enable our pupils to be in close contact with their foreign partners, to experience a real cooperation between several countries and to become aware of their European citizenship. :• Apprendre à connaître différentes cultures et se familiariser aux conditions de vie quotidiennes des autres élèves européens.
• Favoriser les mises en situations afin de développer les compétences linguistiques.
• Susciter des expressions artistiques variées et fécondes
• Promouvoir le travail collectif et le dialogue entre partenaires de façon à ce que chacun assiste l’autre dans l’élaboration de son projet • Développer le sens critique des élèves et le respect de l’autre.
• Faire vivre aux élèves une expérience concrète de leur citoyenneté européenne. _

-Get to know different cultures and know the daily lifestyles of other European pupils better.
- Encourage situations which will enable the pupils to develop their language skills
- Create various and numerous pieces of arts
- Promote group work and dialogues between partners in order to make them help each other implement their project
- Develop the pupils’ critical judgement and respect other people
- Make the pupils aware of their European citizenship


Un tel projet s’appuie avant tout sur une dynamique « d’ouverture d’esprit » et de partage fondée sur les échanges entre les élèves. Chaque équipe travaillera sur une ou plusieurs disciplines artistiques (cinéma, musique, théâtre, photographie, danse, arts plastiques, etc.) afin d’explorer le thème des étrangers comme sujet. En retour, il s’agira de produire une ou plusieurs créations inspirées par ce thème. Les voyages auprès des partenaires seront à chaque fois des moments clefs d’échanges et de collaboration entre nos élèves _________________
ENGLISH_BELOW_________________ Open-mindedness and exchanges between pupils are essential to this project. Each team will work in one or several artistic field ( the cinema, music, drama ,photography, visual art and so on) so as to explore the theme : “ Foreigner” Then each team will have to produce one or several pieces of art on this topic. The trip to the partners’ countries will be the key moment for the pupils to share their experiences
PRODUITS :Production d’œuvres artistiques (films documentaires, courts-métrages de fiction, photos, nouvelles, reportages, musiques, etc.) Echanges/ mise en regard des productions communes entre les différents partenaires du projet. _________________
